Further the security recommendations for UN staff travelling between Maputo and Nelspruit, please find bellow the list of emergency phone number useful to program in your cell phone:

And before your departure, try insure the following points:
Always insure that you are effectively arriving at destination (Maputo or Nelspruit) two hours before the sunset.
Do not stop along side the road.
Make sure that your vehicle is perfectly roadworthy ( fuel and oil do not service your vehicle between the border and Nelspruit) prior staring.
Your journey, paid special attention at the tires prior departing from the border or leaving a fuel station.
Attend the all refuelling operation of your car.
Have a cell phone with you.
If you can, it is better to travel in convoy of two vehicles or more.
Keep you schedule and itinerary discrete, (I.E. check-out from the hotel early than announced, give false destination/ intentions).
Strictly, avoid regular schedules.
Give, to a person of great confidence, your destination/ intention and a time-date at witch He/ She should starts to worry about you.
Avoid travelling with bus who do not belong/ work with a regular Travels Agency or with unregistered taxi or with peoples that you do not  know, or who are planning to drive by night or have vehicles not looking like reliable.
